Kirsten Miles

National Director of the 30/30 Project at Tupelo Press, Regional Director for Tupelo Press Conferences, and director of Gentle House Residency on the Olympic Peninsula

Kirsten directs the Tupelo Press 30/30 Project since 2013, manages the Tupelo Press conference series, and runs the Tupelo Press residency at Gentle House on the Olympic Peninsula. She holds a degree from the University of Virginia in Environmental Sciences where she led a seminar series on digital image integrity at the School of Medicine in research ethics from 2008 through 2015. She founded the Tupelo Press Teen Writing Center in Charlottesville, Virginia, supporting teen writers, which operated for nine years in Charlottesville. A bookmaker and letterpress printer, she enjoys exploring the very slow process of making books by hand, and the relationship of the book to its content. She is working on her first book of poetry.
